Happy New Year & Welcome to my blog all new comers and past readers!
It’s good to be back!
At my church’s Global New Year’s Eve Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor announced that this year, 2019 is the Year of Lights ⭐️
So, here we are Shining (And Winning✨👑)
2018 was a beautiful year of The Supernatural filled with Supernatural supply, strength, abilities, insights, wisdom, knowledge, health. It was also filled with, prayer, partnership, fellowship, growth and A LOT of Grace. The testimonies are too much to even list in one post – so that will have to be for another one!
I know a lot of people (including myself) who went through a lot of challenges in 2018, but all of those people are here with me in 2019 and doing well & I thank God for that testimony.
In the New Year’s Message, Pastor mentioned that:
1. Light is for Illumination:

Light brings clarity. When the light is on, you see things more clearly. Illumination is synonymous to “revelation” and “insight”. Where there’s light, there’s an understanding. In psychology, creative thinking has four stages and illumination is one of the stages and defined as the period where “the obscure becomes clear”. Illumination is the solution stage. If we as Christians are the Light of the World, this means that where we are, in whatever we’re doing there is clarity and insight and a solution.
2. Light gives Leadership:

Leaders are passionate, bold, focused. They produce and motivate and are committed to their cause and the vision.
Leaders give guidance and so does light.
Light leads. when there is light, the path is clearer, just like with a Leader, there is a clear vision. And just like a leader, people follow the light.
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12
When you are a light, you are naturally a leader because people will follow you. Everyone is attracted to light, so shine bright and lead others the right way.
3. Light gives Empowerment:

Google tells me that Empowerment means “authority or power given to someone to do something”, “The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights” and likens it to “enable”. So, light enables you and gives you control. The energy from light powers you and gives you the capacity to perform. Just like the sunlight powers the solar panels giving them the capacity to generate electricity. The more sun, the more sunlight absorbed, the more power received. Same goes for us too. The more time we spend with God, the more the intensity of your light and the greater your performance.
“Moses didn’t realise as he came back down the mountain with the tablets that his face glowed from being in the presence of God.” – Exodus 34:29
4. Light is for Signs and Seasons:

Wherever you are, shining, that is a sign. You give light to the Earth.
You are useful and a sign of God’s provident care, a sign of peace.
Your light is a sign of hope.
I was walking to church on New Year’s Day, thinking about the NY message and I had a thought – If you’re not around, no one can see your light. This is why it is so important to go out there and preach the gospel, evangelise and make yourself known in your environment.
If you keep to yourself no one will be able to benefit from your light. You can’t enter a closed store. The store may have what you need, but as long as the store is shut, and the business never advertise you won’t know what they sell or if they have what you need. As a child of God, you are a solution centre; salt of the earth, light of the world, open (shining) 24/7. You can’t afford to hide your light. And that’s why you have to go out into the world and let your light shine. Influence and impact the world around you.

Don’t hide away this year. Let people know that there is a God and that they were made to be a light also. There’s enough success to go around and enough space for everyone to shine without trying to dim anyone else’s light.
Again, Welcome to the Year of Lights! This is YOUR year. Some people may say “Okay, but you said last year was your year and the year before so, what now?” Well, why can’t every year be your year? It just gets better and better!
I pray that every idea, project and plan that you have comes to fruition this year and shines in the name of Jesus.
Sometimes things can feel a little harder or a little more challenging than you think they should, but don’t give up. Listen to The Holy Spirit, follow His instructions and I’m sure this year will be the best yet.

Keep Shining & Winning!✨👑
xoxo

Lovely. The most striking part is the simple but powerful point which I quite below
“If you keep to yourself no one will be able to benefit from your light. You can’t enter a closed store. The store may have what you need, but as long as the store is shut, and the business never advertise you won’t know what they sell or if they have what you need.”
We’ll done 💪
