The Shining Light

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Welcome to the Month of ‘The Shining Light’! ✨

You know when you know, that something is just for you. That sure, everyone else can partake, but really, this is your Win?

That’s how I’m feeling this month. 

July, (The Month of Expansion) was truly amazing and I thank God for all the opportunities that he blessed me with and doors he opened for me.

So, this month of August, the month of ‘The Shining Light’, I’m taking my expansion; my growth and flourishing, shining & winning like never before! 

And that should be the motive for all of us. 

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Isaiah 60:1-3

Do you know how awesome this is? 

Darkness everywhere, but YOU are the light that they will come to. This means we must be very special and very important if God has made us the light that guides others. And we shouldn’t forget this. You are important to God, to your nation, to the World.

Sometimes, we may not feel like a shining star, but I’ve come to realise that it’s not always about how you feel, but about who you are and who God has made you to be. Never lose your zeal for the Word of God, keep the fire burning through prayer and studying and being an active Christian.

Don’t wait for someone to make you happy, we already have joy inside of us. 

Everything you need is inside of you. All we have to do is create it, bring it out of us and walk in it – live in it, be it. 

And we should learn to share this joy with others. People should rejoice in our light. Be glad to be a Child of God and gladly bring others into the kingdom. Learn to love and be happy.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

 – Romans 12:11-13
