Every year we get asked “So, what does Christmas mean to you?” And we usually list things such as ‘helping, love, family, joy’ & last but not least ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’. But I recently re-watched one of my Pastors Christmas messages and he put it in the most simplest and truthful way using an Acrostic format:
All these wonderful things for one day!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
– Isaiah 9:6
Christmas all began because God loved us so much and He wants us to spread, share and show that love to everyone. Jesus came to give us life, that God-Kind of life, full of love and success and lacking in nothing!
God is a Father, Our Father and all He wants us for us to be full of joy and Love Him and Others like He loves us & He sent Jesus to help us to do this. No Father wants their child to Suffer! And Jesus being born and alive in us today is God’s way of making sure that never happens.
So, this is just a short post to say Merry Christmas, don’t forget that CHRIST is the reason for the season and I hope you had a wonderful or are having a wonderful time with the three F’s:
