Sometimes saying “Thank You” feels like a hard task. Especially when you feel like you have nothing to be thankful or grateful for. However, God says we should Thankful. It’s not about how you feel, but what is truth. There’s always something to be thankful for.
But if, “Because God (who made us AND gave his son for us) said so” isn’t enough, remember that it is us who benefits from giving thanks. So, be grateful and thankful and happy. Gratitude opens the door to more blessings and the peace of God comes from having a thankful heart.
Also, really, we have everything to be thankful for. God has done so much for us and has so much still in store for us and we should give Him thanks because of this and who He is.
“Come before him with thankful hearts. Let us sing him psalms of praise. For the Lord is a great God, the great King of all gods.”
– Psalm 95:2-3
When you actually take time out to count your blessings and go through your testimonies you realise that actually, there’s a lot to be grateful for anyway. Every time – trust me.
Before my mid-year thanksgiving service I reserved time to sit down and think about the year passed (from the last thanksgiving service) and in less than a second I was up again just laughing and smiling to myself and thanking God because there was just so many great and wonderful things He had done for my life, some I didn’t even really think of thanking Him for at the time because they seemed like nothing. But after I was just like “wow, I’m so blessed, Thank you. Thank you.”
Everyday I wake up, I make sure to Thank God, sometimes not even for anything in particular but just because of the fact that He is so great.
Again, you may be thinking now that there are things that happened this year that you think shouldn’t have or there may be circumstances and situations that you think you are definitely not thankful for. But the bible says,

In EVERY situation, NO MATTER what the circumstances were or are. God is a good God and He has a plan for you and that plan is not failure or a plan for a life full of regrets and ungratefulness. Always give thanks, it’s one of the best way to receive. Live everyday in Grace, with Gratitude & in Love. God wants us happy and full of joy all the time, that’s why He sent Jesus.
“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.”
– Philippians 4:6
We shouldn’t worry about things, but rather pray about them and thank God for the wonderful outcome you know is on its way. Have faith in the one who gave you life. As we give thanks we are made whole. (Luke 17:11-19)
“For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified [set apart, dedicated to God] by means of the word of God and prayer.”
– 1 Timothy 4:4-5
Don’t forget to thank God for all He has done for you and all that is to come. Your life is complete in Him, just be grateful and tap into your blessings. You’re alive and well and so so SO beautiful and that’s because of Him and who He made you to be.
