Walk the Walk

“You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?”
An idiom people have been saying for years.

And it’s a very valid question too.

As Christians, we hear or read The Word almost everyday, (everyday please). In church, group meetings, programs, at home, through the bible, books, leaders, music etc. But sometimes all we do is just that: hear and read.

Sure it’s great, we know The Word! How about sharing it though? Or acting on it?

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.”

– James 1:22

And in fooling yourself, you’re not fooling anyone else. I mean, it’s going to be hard to get people to follow you or listen to what you say if they can’t see you acting on who you say you are and God’s Word.

Practice what you preach right?

We shouldn’t let people look at us and not see God at Work or us carrying out His Work. We have an obligation to act accordingly and to speak right.

It’s not enough to just tell people that we’re Christian or that we believe in the Word of God. We have to show them it works, show them how it has changed us through our actions and our words. And we have to make sure our words match our actions too. We can’t confess one thing, but still be acting contradictive to our words.

“Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].”

– Ephesians 4:29

We have to be different because we are different and the world has to see the difference – especially when we’re trying to win a soul and most specifically souls of friends and family as they are the ones who are around us the most.

We have to fully commit ourselves to the gospel and allow Jesus to shine through us.

You’ve got to go all out for the Gospel, change the way you think, speak and act. Use the power in the Word. We are God’s priority and anything we say or do concerning His word; He’ll always back us up. We shouldn’t be afraid to walk the walk. Use your faith to produce results.

Remember, you’re a shiner and a winner!
Show that! 😀

Don’t just talk about it; Be about it.

Keep Shining & Winning!✨👑
