Think about how many stories you’ve told people over the past few weeks. Whether it be gossip or about new item you received or even about new music, movie or TV show.
Now think about how many times you’ve told people about Jesus in the past few weeks.
What’s the ratio looking like?
If there’s a big difference in these amounts with the higher number favouring the former then we need to change that.
When it comes to social media and social events, we can be very quick to share news such as where we are, what we’re doing and even what we’re eating – which is fine BUT inbetween all that or even before all that, have you thought about using these social platforms to spread the gospel?
I know how carried away I can get sometimes on social media and most times I stop myself and I say “Hold on mate. You’re singing Whitney Houston into your phone but have you told someone about Jesus today?” And although she had a lovely voice, somehow I think that telling someone Jesus will always love them is more of a blessing than telling them I will lol.
The Bible says,
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the Power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…
– Romans 1:16
Don’t be ashamed of the Gospel. Don’t think you’re overstepping by telling someone about Jesus. When people go to the hospital and they get better they usually make sure everyone knows about their recovery. Well how much more us who have actually been recreated and born again with a new life! I mean to be honest it doesn’t make sense not to be telling people. We shouldn’t want to keep it a secret that we’ve been given a brand new life that comes with all these blessings and greatness including being a blessing to others, just by telling them about The Word.
Believe in the message that has been given to you and use it to bless others and bring them into this new life so they can enjoy too!
Soul Winning is paramount to God. That means it is more important than anything.
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
– Daniel 12:3
Also remember that you are not alone. You are filled with The Holy Spirit and with Him nothing is impossible. Therefore, don’t feel like you can’t preach The Word or that you can’t tell people because of what they may think because with Him you always can. The power and efficiency of God’s Word is unquestionable. So, we can take His Word and preach it because we know through faith that it cannot fail.
Nevermind what people have to say about your proclamations or preachings. You know who you are and you don’t need any man to validate your worth. We don’t seek the praise or honour of men but of God and God honours you for anything you do for His Kingdom which includes soul winning.
Don’t let us become victims of society. Be the success God has made you to be and let others know that they can be a success too!
